Stairway to Perfection

Pain, trials, affliction, sorrow –

This is life.

Joy, laughter, freedom, peace –

This is life eternal.

And how do we gain this eternal life?

Through Him – the Son

We must come to know who He is.

The babe of Bethlehem.

Wrapped in swaddling clothes.

The child of Nazareth.

Growing in wisdom and stature.

The Man of Galilee.

A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.

The Savior in Gethsemane.

Great drops of blood.

The Redeemer on Calvary.

Wounded for our transgressions.

The Son of God – the Risen Lord.

First fruits of them that slept.

He comes again.

Have ye received his image in your countenance?

How do I do so?

Faith, Repentance, Baptism, the Gift of the Holy Ghost, Endure.

Ask and ye shall receive.

But ask in faith.

Hear ye Him

Be ye doers of the word.

With unshaken faith in Him.

By works was faith made perfect.

Watch your words.

The tongue can no man tame.

The natural man is an enemy to God.

I give unto you this commandment, that ye become even as my friends.

Tribulation worketh patience.

We count them happy that endure.

The rights of the Priesthood are inseparably connected with the powers of heaven.

Is there any sick among you?… Anoint him with oil.

Pray always that ye may come off conqueror.

Pray for one another.

Salvation should be declared to every creature.

Hide a multitude of sins.

The great and final sacrifice.

The Lamb of God.

And our sacrifice?

A broken heart and a contrite spirit.

“They are accepted of me.”

“Well done though good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”
